1. Inleiding

Deze privacyverklaring legt uit hoe Cheesy-Studios (een hobbyproject) omgaat met persoonsgegevens wanneer je gebruikmaakt van onze websites, tools of contact met ons opneemt. We verzamelen alleen wat nodig is, en nooit meer dan strikt noodzakelijk.

Cheesy-Studios bestaat uit verschillende experimentele projecten, waaronder:
  • De Cheesy-Studios website
  • DraaiMaatje (naamswiel en groepjesmaker)
  • Toekomstige tools en experimenten

2. Welke projecten vallen onder dit privacybeleid?

3. Welke gegevens verzamelen we? 

Gegevens die je zelf deelt (via contactformulier)

Doel: Alleen om jouw vraag of opmerking te beantwoorden.
Rechtsgrond: Jouw uitdrukkelijke verzoek (art. 6(1)(b) AVG).
🔹 Automatisch verzamelde technische gegevensBij elk bezoek registreren we tijdelijk:
  • IP-adres
  • Browsertype en -versie
  • Besturingssysteem
  • Tijdstip en duur van het bezoek
  • Bezochte pagina's
Doel: Technische werking, beveiliging en foutopsporing.
Rechtsgrond: Gerechtvaardigd belang (art. 6(1)(f) AVG).
🔹 Lokale opslag (localStorage) – specifiek voor DraaiMaatjeDraaiMaatje slaat alleen op jouw eigen apparaat op:
  • De namen die jij hebt ingevoerd (localStorage)
Deze gegevens worden niet naar ons verzonden en zijn alleen voor jou zichtbaar. Als je je browsergegevens wist, zijn je namen permanent verdwenen.
🔹 Geen tracking (behalve advertenties)We gebruiken geen Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel of andere tools voor gedragsprofilering, met uitzondering van Monetag-advertenties (zie sectie 5).

4. Hoe en waarom verwerken we je gegevens?

Gegevens worden alleen verwerkt om:

  • Jouw vraag te beantwoorden
  • De projecten technisch stabiel te houden
  • Advertenties weer te geven via Monetag (zie sectie 5)
Toegang tot gegevens is beperkt tot de persoon die Cheesy-Studios beheert.
We delen geen persoonlijke gegevens met derden, behalve waar wettelijk verplicht of zoals hieronder beschreven bij Monetag en Google Fonts.

5. Advertenties (Monetag) – belangrijk! 

⚠️Sommige Cheesy-Studios-projecten (zoals DraaiMaatje) gebruiken advertenties van Monetag om de tools gratis te kunnen aanbieden. Dit is hoe het werkt:

Wat doet Monetag?Monetag plaatst advertenties op de pagina. Dit kunnen zijn:
  • Vignette-advertenties (halftransparante overlays die kort verschijnen)
  • In-Page Push-advertenties (banners die in de pagina worden weergegeven)
Welke gegevens worden verzameld?Monetag kan de volgende gegevens verzamelen:
  • IP-adres (geanonimiseerd)
  • Browsertype en -versie
  • Apparaatinformatie (OS, schermresolutie, taal)
  • Advertentie-interacties (of je op een advertentie klikt)
  • Tijdstip van bezoek
Waarom is dit nodig?De advertenties zorgen ervoor dat Cheesy-Studios-projecten gratis kunnen blijven voor alle gebruikers. Zonder advertenties zouden er kosten aan verbonden zijn.
Hoe kun je advertenties beperken?
  • Gebruik een adblocker (bijv. uBlock Origin, AdGuard, Privacy Badger)
  • Gebruik een privacygerichte browser (bijv. Brave, Firefox met trackingbescherming, Safari)

6. Google Fonts en internationale doorgifte

Cheesy-Studios-projecten gebruiken Google Fonts (van Google LLC, VS) voor een consistente weergave van lettertypes. Hierdoor maakt je browser bij het laden van de pagina een eenmalige verbinding met servers in de Verenigde Staten. Daarbij kan je IP-adres tijdelijk worden verwerkt.

  • Google handelt dit verkeer af volgens hun Privacybeleid
  • Er vindt geen profilering of koppeling met andere Google-diensten plaats via onze projecten
  • Onder sommige wetgevingen (zoals de CCPA) kan deze technische doorgifte worden aangemerkt als "sharing"
💡 Tip: Wil je deze verbinding voorkomen? Gebruik dan een browser met ingebouwde tracker-blokkering of een lokale font-instelling.

7. Bewaartermijnen


7. Bewaartermijnen


Cheesy-Studios hanteert de volgende bewaartermijnen voor verschillende soorten gegevens:
Contactformulier-gegevens
Deze worden maximaal 1 jaar bewaard, tenzij een langere bewaartermijn wettelijk verplicht is of jij hiermee akkoord gaat. Na deze periode worden de gegevens veilig en definitief verwijderd.
Technische loggegevens
Denk aan IP-adressen, browsertype en bezochte pagina's. Deze worden enkele weken bewaard en daarna automatisch en definitief gewist.
Google Fonts-verkeer
De verbinding met Google Fonts is tijdelijk (sessiegebonden). Cheesy-Studios slaat hier niets van op; het verkeer wordt niet bewaard door ons.
Jouw namen (localStorage) – alleen bij DraaiMaatje
De namen die jij invoert in DraaiMaatje worden uitsluitend op jouw eigen apparaat opgeslagen (localStorage). Ze blijven bewaard tot jij ze zelf wist via de browser-instellingen of de "wis alle namen"-knop in de tool. Cheesy-Studios heeft hier geen toegang toe.
Monetag-advertentiegegevens
Voor gegevens die worden verzameld via advertenties verwijzen wij naar het privacybeleid van Monetag. Cheesy-Studios beheert deze gegevens niet 
Na afloop van de genoemde termijnen worden alle gegevens veilig en definitief gewist.

 

8. Je rechten

Op grond van de AVG (en vergelijkbare wetten) heb je het recht om:

✅ Inzage te vragen in jouw gegevens
✅ Onjuiste gegevens te laten corrigeren
✅ Gegevens te laten verwijderen ("recht op vergetelheid")
✅ De verwerking tijdelijk te beperken
✅ Gegevens over te dragen in een machineleesbaar formaat
✅ Bezwaar te maken tegen verwerking op basis van gerechtvaardigd belang
✅ Je toestemming in te trekken (indien van toepassing)
✅ Een klacht in te dienen bij een toezichthouder (bijv. Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

9. Specifieke informatie per regio

🇪🇺 Europese Unie / EER (AVG)Dit beleid voldoet aan de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming. Je kunt je rechten uitoefenen zoals hierboven beschreven.

🇨🇭 Zwitserland (FADP)Je hebt recht op inzage, correctie, verwijdering en overdraagbaarheid. Reactietermijn: 30 dagen.
🇧🇷 Brazilië (LGPD)Je hebt o.a. recht op bevestiging van verwerking, inzage, correctie, anonimisering en intrekking van toestemming. Reactietermijn: 15 dagen voor volledige inzage.
🇺🇸 Californië (CCPA/CPRA)Je hebt recht op:
  • Kennis van verzamelde categorieën
  • Toegang tot specifieke gegevens (laatste 12 maanden)
  • Verwijdering (met wettelijke uitzonderingen)
  • Correctie
  • Opt-out van "sale" of "sharing"
Omdat Monetag en Google Fonts technische gegevens kunnen doorgeven, kan dit onder CCPA als "sharing" worden beschouwd. Je kunt opt-outen via het privacy-e-mailadres. We ondersteunen ook Global Privacy Control (GPC).
🇺🇸 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah (VCDPA/CPA/CTDPA/UCPA)Je hebt vergelijkbare rechten als onder de CCPA, waaronder toegang, correctie, verwijdering en opt-out van targeted advertising.
Let op: We gebruiken geen targeted advertising, maar het gebruik van Monetag en Google Fonts kan technisch als "sale" worden aangemerkt. Bezwaar kan via het privacy-e-mailadres. Reactietermijn: 45 dagen (eventueel verlengd tot 90).

10. Beveiliging

We nemen passende technische en organisatorische maatregelen om je gegevens te beschermen tegen verlies, onbevoegde toegang of wijziging. Alle Cheesy-Studios-projecten gebruiken HTTPS-versleuteling voor alle communicatie.

We kunnen dit privacybeleid af en toe bijwerken. De datum bovenaan geeft de laatste wijziging aan. Raadpleeg deze pagina regelmatig voor de actuele versie.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Cheesy-Studios (a hobby project) handles personal data when you use our websites, tools, or contact us. We only collect what is necessary, and never more than strictly necessary.

Cheesy-Studios consists of various experimental projects, including:

  • DraaiMaatje (name wheel and group maker)
  • Future tools and experiments

3. What data do we collect?

  • Possible message content
Purpose: Only to answer your question or comment.
Legal basis: Your explicit request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Purpose: Technical operation, security and debugging.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
🔹 Local storage (localStorage) – specific to DraaiMaatjeDraaiMaatje stores only on your own device:
  • The names you have entered (localStorage)
This data is not sent to us and is only visible to you. If you clear your browser data, your names will be permanently lost.
🔹 No tracking (except ads)We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or other behavioral profiling tools, with the exception of Monetag ads (see section 5).

4. How and why do we process your data?

Data is only processed to:

  • Answer your question
  • Keep the projects technically stable
  • Display ads via Monetag (see section 5)
Access to data is limited to the person managing Cheesy-Studios.
We do not share personal data with third parties, except where required by law or as described below for Monetag and Google Fonts.

5. Ads (Monetag) – important! 

⚠️Some Cheesy-Studios projects (such as DraaiMaatje) use Monetag ads to keep the tools free for everyone. Here's how it works:

Which projects contain ads?
  • DraaiMaatje – contains Monetag ads
  • Future tools may also contain ads (this will be stated)
What does Monetag do?Monetag places advertisements on the page. These can be:
  • Vignette ads (semi-transparent overlays that appear briefly)
  • In-Page Push ads (banners displayed within the page)
What data is collected?Monetag may collect the following data:
  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device information (OS, screen resolution, language)
  • Ad interactions (whether you click on an ad)
  • Time of visit
Why is this necessary?Ads ensure that Cheesy-Studios projects remain free for all users. Without ads, there would be costs involved.
How can you limit ads?
  • Use an ad blocker (e.g., uBlock Origin, AdGuard, Privacy Badger)
  • Use a privacy-focused browser (e.g., Brave, Firefox with tracking protection, Safari)

6. Google Fonts and international transfer

Cheesy-Studios projects use Google Fonts (from Google LLC, USA) for consistent font display. When loading the page, your browser makes a one-time connection to servers in the United States. Your IP address may be temporarily processed.

  • Google handles this traffic according to their Privacy Policy
  • No profiling or linking to other Google services occurs through our projects
  • Under some laws (such as CCPA), this technical transfer may be considered "sharing"
💡 Tip: Want to prevent this connection? Use a browser with built-in tracker blocking or local font settings.

7. Retention Periods

Cheesy-Studios applies the following retention periods for different types of data:
Contact form data
This data is kept for a maximum of 1 year, unless a longer retention period is required by law or you have given your consent. After this period, the data is securely and permanently deleted.
Technical log data
This includes IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is kept for a few weeks and then automatically and permanently deleted.
Google Fonts traffic
The connection to Google Fonts is temporary (session-based). Cheesy-Studios does not store any of this data; the traffic is not retained by us.
Your names (localStorage) – only for DraaiMaatje
The names you enter in DraaiMaatje are stored exclusively on your own device (localStorage). They remain stored until you delete them yourself via your browser settings or the "clear all names" button in the tool. Cheesy-Studios has no access to this data.
Monetag ad data
For data collected through advertisements, we refer to Monetag's privacy policy. Cheesy-Studios does not manage this data.
After the stated periods have expired, all data is securely and permanently deleted.


8. Your rights


Under the GDPR (and similar laws), you have the right to:
